Sybren Aaij appointed Chief Financial Officer
Experienced strategy and finance professional Sybren Aaij is joining The European Pizza Company’s as Chief Finance Officer beginning from 15 January 2024.
His appointment supports the company’s vision of bringing together a leading European collection of sustainable local pizza brands.
Sybren Aaij (MSc.), a Dutch national, has 25 years of wide-ranging experience in corporate finance and strategy in listed and privately owned multinational companies in the consumer packaged goods sector, specialising in food and beverages. Having worked internationally, he is well-versed in leading and coaching people across a variety of cultures.
In his most recent projects as independent consultant, Aaij focused on formulating winning business strategies, market prioritisation and investment appraisals. Before that, as Group CFO for the Out of Home division of the coffee and tea company JDE Peet’s, he successfully managed finance and strategy across 23 entities globally, achieving turnaround to growth and stronger financial performance. As part of the work, Aaij played a key role in the digitalisation of the business.
As Chief Financial Officer of The European Pizza Company, Aaij will be responsible for The European Pizza Company’s operational finance management and will contribute to overall business development.
